Most patients stay in the hospital one night, and then recovery takes around 6-8 weeks. During this time you must avoid swimming and strenuous exercise. You will be given an aftercare plan upon leaving the hospital, and our team are available on the phone 24 hours a day. You will come in for a follow up appointment with your Surgeon a few weeks after your procedure.
Every patient is different, and so is every treatment plan. You should be considering a tummy tuck and vaser liposuction if you are at your ideal weight, but have some loose skin and pockets of stubborn fat that you’re struggling to remove through diet and exercise.
Vaser liposuction allows for more targeted sculpting when removing the fat, creating soft, desirable curves and contours. It creates less bruising and allows for increased skin retraction which, when combined with a tummy tuck, can yield incredible and natural looking results.
Every treatment plan starts with a consultation. Your journey with us will begin over the phone or via email, where we will assess your needs and advise the sort of procedures you might consider. We will then organise a consultation either face-to-face or via zoom with one of our Surgeons. They will eventually have to see you in person before they confirm a treatment pan, but a zoom consultation can be a great way to explore your options with an expert Plastic Surgeon.
Yes. This is not a weight loss procedure – if you have the surgery then lose a significant amount of weight, there is the risk you will need to have another Tummy Tuck to remove more loose skin.
With a Full Tummy Tuck, we make the incision as low on the abdomen as possible so any scar will be hidden by your underwear or bikini bottoms. Some larger procedures may also require a scar from navel to breast bone.
Your scar will start to fade a few weeks into the healing process, and many patients report that it becomes barely noticeable in time.
Our pre and post procedure care will help minimise the risk of scarring and make sure your skin is ready to heal.
Following your overnight stay, our team are available on the phone 24 hours a day. You will be given clear aftercare instructions when you leave the hospital, and all necessary follow up appointments will be scheduled in advance of your procedure. This includes your 6 week check in with your Surgeon.

A firm, flat stomach can’t always be achieved through diet and exercise – this is for many reasons. As we gain weight, either through puberty, pregnancy or lifestyle, our skin stretches to accommodate our new shape. If our weight then decreases or fluctuates, the skin does not always have the elasticity required to return to its original shape. This is especially noticeable on the abdomen, thighs and arms.
When it comes to achieving a more sculpted and contoured abdomen, a tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, emerges as a cosmetic surgical solution. A tummy tuck procedure involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the abdominal region while simultaneously tightening the underlying abdominal muscles.
Among the variations of this procedure, the extended tummy tuck stands out as a comprehensive approach that not only targets the abdominal area but also addresses the flanks or love handles, and even the lateral thighs. The distinctive feature of the extended tummy tuck is the longer incision that wraps around the lower back, enabling a more dramatic transformation of the waistline.
Individuals opt for a tummy tuck for a number of aesthetic and health reasons:
A tummy tuck can offer several benefits including:
The ideal candidate for a tummy tuck meets certain criteria. Specifically, the best candidates are in good physical and mental health, have realistic expectations about the procedure's results, are at or near their goal weight which they've maintained for at least six months, are non-smokers or willing to quit smoking, before, and after surgery, and do not plan on getting pregnant again after the procedure. Meeting these criteria helps ensure patients are prepared for surgery and can achieve optimal, long-lasting results.
Like any surgical procedure, an extended tummy tuck carries potential risks and complications. These may include infection, bleeding, scarring, fluid accumulation or seroma under the skin, and adverse reactions to anaesthesia. It's crucial to choose a skilled and experienced surgeon to minimise these risks and ensure a safe and successful outcome.
The results of a tummy tuck procedure are generally long-lasting, as long as you maintain a stable weight and a healthy lifestyle. However, factors such as ageing, sun exposure, or future pregnancies can affect the quality and appearance of your skin and muscles over time. Therefore, it is important to follow your surgeon’s instructions and recommendations for post-operative care and follow-up.

Vaser uses ultrasonic energy to emulsify fat cells and at the same time preserves nerves and blood vessels. The procedure produces less bruising compared to traditional liposuction methods and allows a greater degree of skin retraction.
Sometimes you are unable to achieve your desired shape through diet and exercise. This procedure targets specific fat pockets and your Surgeon can precisely contour your body.
